North Dallas Bank has always strived to work with and serve the surrounding communities. The Tyra Scholarship was so named in 1994 for Mr. Tyra who tirelessly gave to the young lives in our community. Mr. Tyra’s commitment to the community is also represented by the fact that he was the bank’s first Community Reinvestment Act officer.
The North Dallas Bank James W. Tyra Memorial Scholarship Program, now in its fifteenth year, will award two $1,000 scholarships to area seniors from public high schools to help offset for college expenses.
