Q: What is the difference between the Available balance and the Ledger balance?
A: The Available balance, which is displayed on the Account List and Account Summary screens, reflects the dollar amount of money that is currently available to you. It considers all your posted transactions, some electronic transactions performed today and any holds placed on your account due to uncollected funds, pending deposits or pending withdrawals. It is up-to-the-minute, and is updated immediately after every transaction.
The Ledger balance is your account balance as of the previous business day, and does not include holds and the current business day's Automated Teller Machine (ATM) transactions.

Q: What can I do to protect my accounts and personal information while I’m banking online?
A: North Dallas Bank takes numerous steps to keep your accounts and personal information secure, but you also play a role in maintaining the security of your banking information. Here’s what you can do:

    Do not save your password.
Some versions of Microsoft Internet Explorer will allow you to automatically save passwords. For security purposes, we recommend that you disable this feature and enter your password each time you access ReadyNet. If you choose to use this feature, you must change your saved/stored password when it is changed or reset by the bank upon your request.

    Memorize your password.
Your online password authenticates you when you begin an online banking session. You should memorize this password and never write it down anywhere or reveal it to anyone.

    Change your password regularly.
It’s important to change your password regularly, which you can easily do online. It is recommended that you change your password every 30 days and use a combination of alpha and numeric characters in your password.

    Remember to sign off.
You may not always be at your own computer when you bank online. Therefore, it’s important to sign off when you’ve finished banking or leave your computer. If you forget to do so, North Dallas Bank automatically signs you off after 20 minutes of inactivity.

Q: Do I need any special software installed on my computer?
A: No. All you need is Internet access via an Internet Service Provider (ISP) and an Internet browser. Our website works best with Internet Explorer.

Must download 128-bit encryption to access system. Can be done for free from homepage of Internet provider.
